We use cookies and similar technologies to run our website, keep it secure, understand performance, and—only with your permission—improve your experience. This policy explains what we use, why we use them, and how you can control your choices. We comply with UK GDPR and PECR.

1) Your consent and how it works

When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept, Reject, or Manage Preferences.

  • Non-essential cookies are off by default until you choose otherwise.
  • You can change or withdraw consent at any time via Cookie Preferences (link/button in the site footer).
  • We use CookieYes to record and honor your choices. CookieYes stores a small consent cookie so we can remember your settings on future visits from the same browser.

Legal bases:

  • Strictly necessary cookies run under our legitimate interests (to deliver the service you request—e.g., loading pages, basic security, checkout continuity).
  • Functional, Analytics, and Advertising cookies operate only with your consent.

2) What are cookies and similar technologies?

  • Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser.
  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies last for a set period.
  • We may also use local storage, pixels, and SDKs for similar purposes (subject to the same consent rules).

3) Types of cookies we use (by purpose)

A) Strictly Necessary (always on)

Required to operate the site, provide security, and support login/checkout flows. These do not store information that directly identifies you.

Typical purposes & examples

  • Load-balancing and firewall/bot-management.
  • Session continuity (e.g., remembering items while you navigate).
  • Consent logging (CookieYes).
  • Payment session continuity and security (e.g., processor cookies to complete Strong Customer Authentication/3-D Secure during checkout).

Why allowed without consent: They are essential to deliver the service you request (e.g., opening pages, using cart/checkout, basic security).

B) Functional (with consent)

Improve functionality and remember your settings.

Examples

  • Remembering language, time zone, or UI preferences.
  • Saving non-sensitive form choices to reduce re-entry.

    C) Analytics (with consent)

Help us understand usage so we can improve performance and content.

    Examples

    • Distinguishing returning vs new visits in aggregate.
    • Measuring page performance, load times, and core web vitals.
    • Understanding which pages are most useful.

We configure analytics to avoid collecting more data than we need. Where available, we use IP masking/aggregation. Analytics cookies are not set unless you opt in.

    D) Advertising / Performance (with consent)

Used sparingly to measure campaign effectiveness or to show relevant information on other sites/platforms.

    Examples

    • Measuring which campaigns brought visitors who later requested a quote.
    • Frequency capping (limiting repeats of the same message).
    • Audience measurement on mainstream platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising) if you enable Ads in preferences.

    4) First-party vs third-party cookies

    • First-party cookies are set by Quikdin.
    • Third-party cookies are set by approved partners—for example, our payment processors (during checkout), analytics providers, or ad platforms (only if you consent). Some partners may process data outside the UK; safeguards are described in our Privacy Policy.

    5) How long cookies last (indicative)

    • Strictly necessary: session or up to 12 months.
    • Functional: typically a few days to 12 months.
    • Analytics: commonly up to 13 months.
    • Advertising: commonly 3–6 months (varies by provider).

Exact names and durations may change as we improve the site. The Cookie Preferences panel shows the current list and lifetimes.

    6) Managing your choices

    • Open Cookie Preferences (footer) to change or withdraw consent at any time.
    • You can also block/delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break core features (e.g., checkout, login).
    • Do Not Track (DNT) / Global Privacy Control (GPC): Standards vary; we honor the selections you make in Cookie Preferences as the primary control and will respect recognized browser signals where feasible.

    7) Payments, security, and cookies

    • We use hosted/redirected checkout from vetted processors. These providers may set strictly necessary cookies to keep a payment session secure and to complete 3-D Secure challenges.
    • Quikdin does not store card PAN/CVV on its systems and maintains a PCI DSS SAQ-A posture.
    • Approved refunds return to the original payment method under processor rules. See our Payment Policy.

    8) Children

Our services are intended for business users. We do not knowingly use cookies to profile children.

    9) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect technical or legal changes. If changes are material, we will provide a clear notice. The date at the top shows the current version. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
